Some of you are asking to add to the document. I cannot allow that directly, but if you DM me the details (@tweetsbymaisie), I will verify the information you provide and then add where appropriate. This information is derived from official sources: if your local politician is saying something different to the media, that doesn’t make it policy until there is an established process and implementation. This document is updated frequently, as policies shift.
I urge you to still pursue these options, such that officials in the appropriate states have an accurate understanding of those who are still in need of assistance at this time, regardless of the accelerated drawdown. This will help government officials plan for supplementary attempts to support, reunify and keep you as safe as possible. This information may also be useful for private contractors who can develop pathways out subsequent to 31/08. If we do not have this information; we will not know that extra support and intervention may be required; and it will close off all routes to getting you to safety. This doesn’t end today, or tomorrow. This ends when we have exhausted every resource to help you. I am currently working on a large resource to support people with entering, hiding and leaving Afghanistan through private means. I will post details on how this will be made available to those we can vet at a later date via Twitter.
Any hours listed on the document are in local Kabul time (GMT +4:30).
