This sheets enables inhabitants of shared flats to easily divide their expenses.

Fields that are supposed to be edited for everyday use are colored green.

Just add your flatmates with their respective period of their stay to the sheet "Flatmates".

Select if they contribute to the household fee.

The household fee amount per month can be adjusted in the sheet "ExpensesPerMonth". The predefined value is the broadcasting fee in Germany.

You can also add other expenses that are to be shared among all tenants in the sheet "Other Expenses".

If you include the name of one of the tenants, the amount will automatically deducted from their outstanding amount.

The account holder can keep track of incoming payments by adding them to the sheet "Received Payments".

Finally, if everything is correct, the outstanding amount that each tenant should transfer to the account owner, is displayed in bold on the right side in the sheet "Flatmates".

"Projected" here means that future license fee obligations up until the tenant moves out will be included, if available.

The outstanding amount can also become negative, for example if a tenant transferred too much/in advance or had expenses.

In case the account owner changes, the sum of all outstanding payments should be added to the previous owner's balance in "Received Payments".

For example, if the tenant "Account owner" wants to transfer their ownership to "Flatmate 2" and the sum of "Outstanding (to date)" is 428.80, all they need to do is add the following entry to "Received Payments":

Date: TODAY, Amount: 428.80, Name: Account owner, Comment: Changed owner from "Account owner" to "Flatmate 2"

In case a former tenant's outstanding balance turns out to be unrecoverable (at least one month after the move out date), it can be written of and distributed to the remaining tenants by adding the amount to "Other Expenses".

For example, if the tenant "Flatmate 1" disappears and their "Outstanding (to date)" is 135.31, add to "Other Expenses":

Date: TODAY, Amount: 135.31, Name: Flatmate 1, Description: Write-off
