LUPE FIASCO TRACKER

LUPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title Notes Producer Song Type Availability URL

This is a tracker created by a true Lupe fan, u/GrampaHorse on Reddit. I'm a fan, but I didn't do the work, just some cleanup and sharing. I happened to join the r/LupeFiasco subreddit a day or two after the creator said "someone can copy and make it available on Google Docs if they like." So I did since no one posted. I'm going to go through on a late night and find as many of the tracks as possible and link to them in a new column that I've made called "URL." I'm sharing this publicly, so if you see a link missing/not working, feel free to update it. Let's share the load. I'm curious to dig into these, most of which, I've never heard. And if the GOAT ever happens to come across this and wants to make this easy by linking to a few missing entities that the public might find curious, blessings to you. And blessings to you all.

Arista (2001 – early 2004) 3 Times (The Map) (feat. Gemini & Unkasa) The opening song on FNF Mixtape Vol. 1, consisting of three of FNF's artists at the time. Unconfirmed Freebie Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) 4 Real Leaked in 2008 by Fake Shore Drive. Andrew Barber had received a harddrive from one of FNF's old producers, which contained a bunch of old unreleased recordings. In 2022 this song was included on “Chill's Spotlight, Vol. 2”, though the Nas & D.I.T.C. samples in the hook were removed. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Absolut Fiasco Freestyle over Beenie Man's “Boss Man”. Recorded for DJ Absolut, as he was the first DJ in New York to ever play Lupe Fiasco. The earliest known appearance of this freestyle was on “FNF Mixtape Vol. 1”, followed by the “Lupe Fiasco: The Future” mixtape. DJ Absolut released an untagged version years later. The Neptunes Freestyle Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Accept the Troubles Leaked in 2008 by Fake Shore Drive. Andrew Barber had received a harddrive from one of FNF's old producers, which contained a bunch of old unreleased recordings. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Askin' Questions Allegedly, Lupe had performed this song for Jay-Z, Guru, and DJ Premier upon being flown to Baseline Studios to rap for them (the beat-tape apparently was skipping & Lupe rapped along with the skips, impressing them even further). The song has apparently been floating around the Lupe fandom since at least 2005 (as it was mentioned in very early forum posts), but the source of its release is unknown. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Bottom, Top Leaked in May 2007, though the source is unknown. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Cold Out First appeared on DJ Moondawg's “Before There Were Lasers” mixtape. In 2018, Lupe rediscovered the song & posted a video on Facebook of his live reaction, though he had no memory of the song at all. Unconfirmed Leftover Full (Tagged)

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Coulda Been According to DJ Marbll, this was the song that convinced LA Reid to sign Lupe to Arista. Released on “Jermaine Dupri Mixtape Vol. 1” in 2003 (though called “I Could Be”, and credited simply as Fiasco), as well as the MTV's Advance Warning CD in October 2003. While signed to FNF during this time, Stack Bundles also recorded a song using this beat, called “I Loved You”. DJ Marbll Promo Single Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Fire Originally released on “The Fake Shore Drive Mixtape” by DJ Timbuck2 & Andrew Barber in 2009. An untagged version surfaced soon after, though the source is unclear. DJ Marbll has also said that this was the final song he did with Lupe before losing contact with him. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Free The song is about Lupe being acquitted & FNF dealing with Chilly still being locked-up at the time (before he made bail in 2004). The original source of this song is unknown, though it seems to have been shared among Lupe's old forum since at least 2005. Unconfirmed Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Game Time Surfaced as part of the the leaked Food & Liquor sampling in April 2006. The Buchanans Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Gangsta (Up in Here) Leaked in 2008 by Fake Shore Drive. Andrew Barber had received a harddrive from one of FNF's old producers, which contained a bunch of old unreleased recordings. DJ Marbll Leftover Full

Arista (2001 – early 2004) Ghetto Story (Steady Mobbin') [feat. Majic Massey] Lupe played the song in full on FNF Radio on 1/16/2006, though fans seemed to have been aware of its existence since 2005 (based on old forum posts). Prolyfic has mentioned that all songs produced by Boogz were scrapped from F&L when he left FNF, which was presumably before FNF signed to Atlantic (as Boogz was never again mentioned by Lupe after the Arista era). It later appeared in the leaked Food & Liquor sampling in April 2006. Boogz Leftover Full
